Glaze Swatches

Ephraim Pottery’s glazes have garnered praise from art pottery collectors and Arts and Crafts lovers alike. The richness, depth, and texture of the glazes we have developed are amazingly similar to glazes used by old Arts and Crafts potteries at the turn of the 20th century. In our lab, we build our classic faience matte crystalline glazes designed to flow, curdle glazes that take their name from their heavy texture, and crackle glazes that form a dramatic webbing. Our glazers then utilize inventive application methods to heighten the beauty of each glaze and to display dynamic effects. The glazes shown here are also represented in our current collections.
